AGM, Dinner & Dance, 3rd XI Survey & 100 Club

The Winter lull is coming but it isn’t only the square that needs putting to bed for the Winter, admin needs to be too so 2023 is as good as 2022! 

Quick Reminder that the AGM is tonight at 7.30pm at Cirencester Rugby club. We’ll be voting on all sorts of things from 2023 subs to confirming the committee, targets for coming seasons and very importantly for the club, appointing Willow Turf Care to look after the square in 2023. Richie Woodmason is hoping to join us for the evening to answer any questions and meet you lot. Funding this is a massive thing which is totally doable but needs buy in from the club membership. Dinner and Dance take up is slow and not enough for us to confirm this with the RAC unless we have a surge in ticket interest. I don’t want the evening to go ahead unless we have the numbers because we will take a loss on every ticket we don’t sell and we cannot start the coming season with such a hit on the finances. The CDCA have issued a Survey for our 3rd XI Squad. You can find this on the website. If you want to input on things like start times, rules, overs per bowler etc. you can do this on the survey page on the club website. This is the LINK to complete that survey.  

Please also visit the website to purchase tickets for the 100 club lottery. The more tickets sold, the bigger the prizes and income for the club. this is a phenomenal initiative from Liam James. As a first step, select your number and fill out the form HERE. Details of what we are fundraising for in 2023 will be posted on a fundraising page very soon. It is a combination of a club refurbishment and a professional groundsman on the square.
