2025 LEAGUES: 1st XI - 3rd (Promoted), 2nd XI - 2nd (Promoted), 3rd XI - 6th, Women's Softball - 2nd, u13s - 1st, u11s - 5th
We have three Senior Saturday teams, a midweek evening league side, a Sunday Team and a Women's Softball Team.
Our Women's Softball team train at Poulton in the Summer and then indoors on most Fridays in the Winter. They typically entre both a winter indoor league and a summer outdoor one.
The 1st XI were promoted in 2025 and now play 45 over cricket in Division 1 of the Gloucestershire Cricket League with neutral umpires.
The 2nd XI were promoted in 2025 and now play 40 over cricket in Division 6 of the Gloucestershire Cricket League.
The 3rd XI play in Division 9 of the Gloucestershire Cricket League. The side is very much a youth development and adut social side although we are targeting promotion in 2026.
Our Sunday XI is also a development, social team focussed on friendly cricket and giving everyone a game while also bringing our youth into open age cricket in a supportive environment.
Our Midweek XI plays 20 over league games on Wednesday evenings from 6pm. This is typically a strong side and mix of our 1st and 2nd XIs.
This varies completely depending on the teams you play for.
For Senior League cricketers we charge a flat membership fee which varies from year to year but typically totals around £100
We then charge match fees per game for 1st and 2nd XI cricketers to go towards (but not cover) the cost of playing. For the 1st XI, we need to cover the cost of umpires and for the 2nd XI we charge a smaller sum to reflect the higher cost of playing at our main ground. 3rd XI players face small fee charges.
Membership covers being a member of the club, the match fees give the right to use of facilities and there is an additional seperate charge to be a member of the bar. This is simply billed as a line item and enables us to comply with licencing requirements.
Training takes place on Thursday evenings at our main ground from 6pm.
Our main square has a minimum of 10 senior wickets for use through the season and we have additional tracks for practice in the week on the far side.
Our Pavilion has a small bar and we serve Hawkstone products on draft. We have Starlink high speed wifi. Showers and a projector. We are looking at a variety of pavilion improvements for the future to make it more of a club house. there's an outdoor BBQ in operation most weekends in the season.... unless its one of those 13 degree British Summer days.
We have two full length all weather nets. Two sets of covers, a Poweroll 12 roller and various outfield cutting machinery.
Plans for the future are a further scoreboard/outdoor screen and hopefully one day expansion of the pavilion.
Yes we hold Winter nets at a nearby school and these usually start in February on a Sunday afternoon.
All new joiners are welcome at these before joining the club for the season.
They are an additional charge of around £6 per session, billed retrospectively.
We are very flexible in how we take payments and accept the following methods all of which are offered on the invoices we send from our FreeAgent accounting software. Obviously bank transfers cost us nothing but we appreciate that members like the convenience of other payment methods.
