Club Communication & Social Media

In past seasons, the club has relied pretty much entirely on WhatsApp for all club communication from availability & selection through to news on club events. From 2022 onwards the club will use a variety of methods to get infomation out to the club so that members can interact when they want rather than face a barrage of 'pings' on their mobiles. Click on the icons to the left to be taken to the respective pages. 

Club Website

This website will be the main source of all information for players & Parents/Guardians. The homepage pulls in all our social media data so that those members who are not users of social media can still see it. The club news will carry information  on events and all other things going on at the club. It also carries a dedicated resource for parents. 

Facebook 

The club has a private Facebook group. This will be used in the same way as the Instagram and Twitter accounts, carrying team announcements for all senior and some junior teams. 

Instagram 

Instagram has a more social nature to it but We will publish as many teams as possible on Instagram as the official route to announce squads in line with our social media policy. We will also promote our club sponsors through this. 

Twitter

Twitter will be used more to interact with other clubs or relevant cricketing institutions like the ECB or GCF. We also use it to get fixtures. We will also support our club sponsors through this. 

WhatsApp

This may remain in use by some Coaches/Captains/Squads but won't be used to convey club information as in prior seasons. Ensuring new players and members were added to groups was a major issue as well as putting too much information through it. 

SPOND

This is the main Club app for players and parents/guardians of players to indicate availabilities/attendance at games/events. There is one for all junior sides and one for all senior sides and details can be found HERE. There is also a messaging functionality in it amongst other club members & administrators.
