Poulton Cricket Club is again running cricket camps during our August Cricket Week with the club delighted and extremely lucky to welcome two serious external coaches to run them
The Camps will be run by Jane Powell and Mandy Ferebee. Jane Powell is a former England International in both hockey and cricket. Jane played cricket for England between 1979 and 1991. With a batting Test Average of 35.12, Jane also captained the side during the 1988 World Cup in Australia, where the team reached the final only to eventually lose to the host nation. In addition, not content at representing her country in one sport, Jane has also represented England at hockey and badminton. Regarded as one of England's leading female coaches, Jane holds Level 4 coaching qualifications in both hockey and cricket. Jane coached the England women's 'A' Cricket Team to two European Cups and has also held the role of Head Development Coach with the English Cricket Board.
Mandy "Fez" Ferebee - Taught cricket at Marlborough college, Clifton college and now Kings School Gloucester. She played county And premier league for Malvern and is a Level 2 coach.
Depending on camps demand. Poulton coaches will provide back up.
The Camps are taking place at Englands in Poulton on August 11, 12 & 13 during the club cricket week. They will run from 10am to 3.30pm
When ages are they for?
The age range is 6-14 on the camps.
Does my child need to be a member of Poulton?
It is not necessary to be a member of Poulton's Youth section and these camps are not included in youth section membership at the club.
What is the Cost?
The cost will be £40 per day per child
What does my Child need to bring & wear?
Your child will need to have a packed lunch, drinks & sunscreen. They will need to come ready to play some some sport but do not need to wear whites.
