Club Membership Rates

Fees for the season have changed from those in 2022 for hard ball junior cricket and ladies matches. These are split in the following ways for those over the age of 18.

  • A fixed membership fee which covers membership and administrative running costs of the club. This portion of the membership qualifies for Gift Aid from those members who consent to this, enabling us as a registered charity to claim an additional 25p in the pound.
  • A playing charge which gives the right to use the facilities, receive coaching from qualified coaches and play in matches. This charge gives members something in return and as a result is excluded from Gift Aid claims.

Details of the various types of membership tiers are in the drop down boxes to the right. As ever if any questions at all, please contact the Club Treasurer, we offer a variety of methods to pay fees such as splitting costs over 12 months. We never want to exclude any one from playing cricket and treat such enquiries in the strictest confidence.

To purchase membership, please complete the form at the top of this column. To save further costs this season, instead of offering options on this site to purchase membership, please complete the form in the box at the top and you'll receive an invoice from our FreeAgent accounting software. This will contain banking details and a Stripe payment link.

Senior Membership (those out of full time education and employed) is for those wishing to play League cricket in the CDCA & GCCL Saturday and Weekday Leagues as well as Sunday Cricket. League costs are high (eg we spend approx £1,000 a season on the required balls across our teams) and this is why it represents the highest fees

For the 2023 season the £100 total membership cost as agreed at the AGM is split as follows.

  • £40 membership fee

  • a £60 playing charge

  • For the 1st XI & 2nd XI there is an additional match fee of £5 per game. This is purely to go towards the cost of Willow Turf Care's employment as our Grounds Team. There is no charge for 3rd XI games.

If you are looking at purchasing membership for yourself and your children, please see the "Family Membership Tab"

Qualified coaches who coach our youth teams and play in the Senior Teams are offered membership at £25

Students (left school and studying/unemployed) membership is £60

Membership for senior players who also volunteer on the ground or in the bar is £25

Senior Women's Membership is for those wishing to play League cricket in the CDCA Weekday Leagues. The cost of this membership goes towards balls and  wicket prepation. The club is trying to make it as affordable as possible to attract more Women into our membership and the wider sport.

For the 2023 season the £60 cost of membership as agreed at the AGM is split as follows.

  • £30 membership fee.

  • a £30 playing charge.

Membership for Girls & Boys for the u11s-u19s is more expensive than younger age groups as we enter hard-ball leagues and need to purchase balls and prepare wickets.

Our entire ethos as a club is to provide membership at affordable rates on the best facilities so that a lifelong love of cricket can be ignited. The cost of running a youth section is large from training level 2 coaches (£300) to Safeguarding Officers. We qualify for grants when we can and use other methods such as gift aid on donations and easyfundraising to supplement income. This enables us to keep membership fees as low as possible.

Youth Players selected for the 1st & 2nd XIs will have a £5 match fee which is for the cost of Ground Preparation. There is no such fee for playing in the 3rd XI.

For the 2023 season the £60 guideline membership for a single child as agreed at the AGM is split as follows.

Membership for Girls & Boys for the u7s & 9s is an entry level one and cheaper as a soft-ball membership.
